This 3 wing spoilboard cutter is designed for surfacing and chamfering. It's great for planing large surfaces and can remove fine layers of material with ease. It features 3 wings or flutes, each with a 4-sided solid carbide insert knife, which gives maximum cutting efficiency and fast material removal. The higher number of teeth also allows for higher feed rates. The 3 wing design results in a more balanced tool while running and its unique chamfer corner insert design produces a flawless surface.

It is ideal for resurfacing spoilboards and planing large glued up panels using CNC, surfacing and finishing wood using timber slab machines, and rabbeting / slotting. The tool is capable of plunging to a maximum depth of 6mm (1/4") before commencing resurfacing. It is able to remove as little as 0.001" layer of material per pass, if desired.

* Use lower CNC spindle RPM and adjusted feed-rate to prevent melting and adhesion of the acrylic material to the tool.

Suitable for use with CNC Routers and shouldn't be used with a handheld router. Also suitable for router sled machines. Warning: make sure that your router sled rails are fully stable and squared.
