The Bridge City HG-4 Honing Guide is precise, easily adjustable and practically universal. Using the HG-4 it is virtually impossible not to achieve a square, even edge at an exact bevel angle. Added to that, is the ability to put a micro bevel on the edge, to within a degree or less.
The HG-4 can accommodate blades up to 70mm wide, and will even take blades which taper in length. A sliding T-Square incorporated into the design makes correct setting foolproof. Simply turning the rear micro adjustment knob changes the bevel angle, each full turn equates to one-degree. The Set Up gauge comes marked with 20°, 25°, 30°, and 35° angles, for fast and repeatable initial setting.
