Clear wood dye may sound a little odd. This liquid from Chroma Craft has all the same constituents as their wood dyes but without any pigment or colouring. It is used as a sealer. On the bare wood it can control bleeding or to mask areas where you don't want dye to penetrate. Applied on top of an already dyed area it can prevent other colours affecting that area. Use it to seal end grain prior to applying dye to control absorption.
