Axminster Workshop AW300DS 300mm Disc Sander - 230V

The AW300DS has an 300mm diameter aluminium disc driven by a quiet 750W induction motor. It has a no-volt-release switch and a brake to slow the disc down in a reasonable time.

The cast iron sanding table has a ground top surface with a slot for the mitre fence. The unique mitre fence has two faces at 90 and can produce LH and RH 45 bevels without resetting. The table tilts up to 45 and firmly locks at both sides.

Efficient dust extraction is via a 63mm outlet. A 450mm length of flexible hose is provided with the machine for connection to a vacuum or similar extractor.

Overall, the AW300DS is solid, weighty and stable and does a good job when it comes to sanding to a line and similar tasks.

Self adhesive abrasive discs are available in a wide range of grits.

Tip: Self adhesive discs can easily be removed complete with their glue by gently warming with a hot air gun (or a simple hair drier) before removing.
