This means you can always sharpen on a flat surface, thus obtaining the very best results. Use this 150 grit ceramic stone to regularly dress your waterstone. The hard ceramic particles and bond means it will never wear out in normal use. Keep one to hand and use frequently. If your water stone is dished or hollow; use the grooved surface of the flattening stone, After the hollow is removed, use the flat surface of the back of the flattening stone. Rubbing with a circular motion across the top of the waterstone regularly keeps your sharpening stones in peak condition.
