HEPA (High Efficiency Particulate Air) filters must satisfy stringent standards and are designed to target much smaller pollutants. To qualify as an HEPA filter, it must remove (from the air that passes through it) 99.97% of 0.3micron particles, which is the most difficult size to filter. Whilst a HEPA filter is designed to trap very fine particles, it should be noted that it will not filter out gasses and odour molecules.
The cellulose flat fold filter extracts 99.9% of dust passing through it and is also certified as an 'M' class, 1 micron filter, suitable for wood dust.
