The Festool AIRSTREAM SCA 8 rapid charger is 65% faster than a conventional charger. It can charge an AIRSTREAM 18V 5.2Ah battery in just 33 minutes. When connected, the charger sucks cooling air through vents in the battery. The hot air passes out through the sides of the charger. The airflow, carefully directed between the cells, initially cools the battery and then dissipates heat during recharging. This is especially effective in high-energy applications such as sawing where the batteries become warm in use. Together the AIRSTREAM battery and SCA 8 rapid charger offer a significantly faster charge time - a perfect combination.
