These tools offer excellent value and come honed and ready for use. The blades are high carbon spring steel fitted to polished Ash handles, shaped for comfort and control. The blade has a small amount of flexibility, which helps to follow contours when carving. The steel has impressive edge retention, with the tip hardened to HRC 59-61. All Flexcut gouges and carving tools are sharpened and polished before leaving the factory to a truly sharp edge. Regular stropping will keep them in top condition.
