The reducing window reduces the forming area allowing the use of smaller sheets of plastic when forming a mould/tool that is smaller than the original forming area of the machine. The reducing window comes in two parts: the lower part locates with cap head screws in the machine, while the upper part bolts onto the clamp frame.
