Round nose cutters as the name implies produce round bottomed grooves. Decorative grooves such fluting on vertical uprights or inset around a drawer front to give a panel look. The smaller cutters are useful for lettering and sign writing and cutting a drip groove on window ledges. The larger diameter cutters can be used to cut grooves in carving boards or finger grooves for drawer handles. When used with the router’s fence these cutters will produce a cove.
