The door is held securely by a screw clamp, which is welded to the 630mm long stabilising bar. The clamp will take doors from 32mm to 55mm thick. The clamp foot has a thick rubber face to prevent damage to the door’s surface.
Note the stand is useful when working thinner sheet material, in which case simply add an offcut as a packer in the clamp.
When you have finished working on the edge, it’s easy to pivot the door upright and offer it up to the door frame without removing the clamp. Maximum door weight 58kg.
