Safe, solid and simple to use

Quadruple the amount of bowls you produce from one blank with Woodcut Tools Max4 Bowl Coring System.

Watch Woodcut Tools’ Dan Hewitt and Colwin Way discuss the Max4 Bowl Coring System.

Long lasting blades

Supplied with three heavy duty, zinc coated blades. Each blade is shaped to a radius and supplied with a precision sharpened Stellite cutter that are proven to be long lasting and hard wearing.

Withstand any wood

Bowl coring will apply pressure to the platform, especially if the wood is hard and dense. The Max4 is therefore made from precision machined cast aluminum and steel that is anodised to last and support turners to successfully core bowls small or large, wet or dry.

Stay stable

A 2MT Tailstock mount is supplied toto enable integration of the Max4 product with the lathe tail stock and therefore ensures a stable bowl coring platform.

Ultimate control

The 510mm long handle with a foam grip gives you the leverage to operate the Bowlsaver Max4 and stay in control. The end of the handle features a spigot to fit an additional handle if further leverage is required.

Complete versatility

A simple adjustment of the tail stock slide on the platform will support the turner to core the shape of the bowl they require.

Supplied with a detailed guide and ready to use, planning templates to successfully core a nest of bowls straight away.

Turning a bowl from a large blank presents the turner with some interesting issues. Not least the amount of useful timber wasted in the form of shavings when hollowing the interior.

The Woodcut Tools Bowlsaver Max 4 enables you to produce more than just one bowl from a single large blank. The Woodcut Tools Bowlsaver Max 4, comes with 3 blades. Thus from a single blank you have the potential to create up to four bowls, hence the name; Max 4.

What may at first sight look complicated is in fact quite simple to use. The unique design offers easy adjustment in order to core a range of bowl shapes and sizes. With the Woodcut Tools Bowlsaver Max 4 you can core bowls from 75mm up to 430mm diameter.
The main platform is cast and precision machined anodised aluminium and steel. It is designed to successfully cope with the pressures of the coring process whether small or large, bowls, wet or dry wood. A suitable tool post to fit your lathe is required for the platform.

The Max 4 comes with a 2MT Tailstock mount, which provides additional stability. A 3/8"x 405mm threaded rod is supplied as a drawbar to provide integrated extra support and stability from the tailstock.
The blades are Stellite tipped. Stellite has great wear and shock resistance. Stellite is used to tip large industrial bandsaw blades, proven to be long lasting and hard wearing. The tips are easily sharpened with a diamond hone.

The large knife has additional support from a machined steel post and a bearing in order to minimise movement especially when coring hard, dense wood.
The 510mm long steel handle with a foam grip offers maximum control. The end of the handle features a spigot to fit an additional handle if further leverage is required.

The Woodcut Tools Bowlsaver Max 4 includes everything you need to start coring bowls from 75mm up to 430mm in diameter. It comes with a detailed guide and ready to use, planning templates to successfully core a nest of bowls straight away.

All packed in a large foam lined box, providing convenient storage when not in use.
