When it comes to sharpening, FB637 is an outstanding 5 star product. Originally developed for the automotive industry for superfinishing of piston rods, shafts and hydraulic cylinders. When applied to the process of sharpening hand tools the results are exceptional. Offered here in belt form to fit the Axminster Ultimate Edge machine, it is also available as a self-stick sheet for hand sharpening.
FB637 is an aluminium oxide abrasive bonded onto a highly tear resistant polyester film. It has exceptional grain sharpness with a high bond strength resulting to high abrasion rates, long service life and shorter operating times. The polyester backing is very stable and resistant to compression, combined with the available range of fine grits, it will give you the opportunity of achieving scary sharp edges with minimum fuss.
