A very worthwhile addition to the AP406WL and AT1628VS lathes, this 460mm bed extension kit will increase the capacity of your lathe in two ways. It can be bolted to the existing lathe bed for a greater between centres capacity or if you have the lathe fitted to the purpose-made leg stand, it will bolt onto the leg stand in a lower position. With the supplied tool rest extension post this enables you to turn bowls or platters up to 870mm. Heavy cast iron construction for stability and vibration damping it simply bolts onto the end of the lathe bed.
