A safety interlock switch for guards, covers and machinery doors where the male part is attached to, say, the door of a bandsaw and the female part fixed to the machine. With the door closed the switch is made and then broken when the door is opened. As the male section is like a security key the switch cannot be operated simply by jamming a screwdriver into the recess. Supplied complete with cable gland. There is a recess in both the side and top of the switch for the male key (comes with blanking plug fitted in top recess) allowing different types of mounting positions. The switch part measures 30 x 30 x 80mm and the male component 30 x 35mm. Fixing of both parts is by 4mm screws in elongated holes to aid alignment. Maximum capacity is 6A, 240V. Approved to IP54s.
