The Mafell MKS 185 Ec is in a class of its own, with its 3,000W motor and 185mm depth of cut. The 450mm diameter blade tilts up to 60° and still gives you a 93mm deep cut at that angle.
The MKS 185 Ec is designed for ease of use and safe operation with smooth starting, constant speed under load, speed reduction and overload protection. It excels at making cross and rip cuts in large timbers or thick insulating materials.
The high torque, 3,0000W CUprex motor features variable speed control and a motor brake. Other safety features include a self-closing saw guard and a riving knife. The smooth starting motor stays constant under load, and includes speed reduction and overload protection.
Setting the depth of cut is done with a rack and pinion mechanism and a highly legible scale for easy control. The saw has a sturdy magnesium base. The fence can be used, either for parallel cuts or reversed to increase stability.
