This set includes the Mid‑Size Easy Hollower™ #1, #2, and #3, providing a full solution for hollowing bowls, vessels, and medium to large hollow forms, from just under the rim through to deep, unseen cavities.
Designed as a progressive 1‑2‑3 system, this set simplifies hollowing by guiding you through each stage of the process. Each tool features a replaceable carbide cutter and a stable shaft design that sits securely on the tool rest, helping to minimise catches and improve control.
With no sharpening required, the system removes one of the biggest barriers to hollowing, allowing you to focus fully on shaping and technique.
Working as a complete system, the three hollowers allow you to hollow confidently from start to finish. Hollower #1 removes the bulk of material from the centre of the form and is fitted with a 12.7mm square section shaft for stability on the tool rest. Hollower #2 features a gently curved shaft, allowing you to begin shaping the sides of the form and start undercutting beneath the rim. Hollower #3 has a more pronounced curve, giving greater access for deeper undercutting and final interior refinement.
Both Hollower #2 and #3 use a 9.5mm deep by 19mm wide rectangular shaft, providing excellent rigidity and a chatter‑free reach of up to 100mm, even when working deeper inside the vessel.
Used parallel to the floor at centre height, each tool remains stable on the rest, helping to reduce catches and deliver smooth, controlled cuts throughout the hollowing process.
Easy Wood Tools’ long‑lasting carbide cutters hold an edge many times longer than HSS and are suitable for dry or green wood, as well as acrylics. With no sharpening needed, maintenance is simple — when the edge dulls, just loosen the fixing screw and rotate or replace the cutter.
The shaft is engraved with the corresponding carbide cutter reference number for easy identification.
