Lamello is the home of the original biscuit jointer, invented over sixty years ago. As with all of this company's products, precision and constant development is the key. The latest Swiss made Classic X features a more powerful 850W motor as well as lighter weight and a slimmer body.
Producing a 4mm slot with the fitted blade with 6 preset depths along with the CNC machined fences for accurate alignment, allow you to take full advantage of biscuit jointing connectors; allowing for glued or self clamping or detachable knock-down connection of panels and allows the production of furniture joints and mitres at all angles.
The main feature of the Classic X is the accuracy and the ease of setting for height, depth and angle the fixed pivot point of the swivel stop, which means that the groove is always precisely in the same position. This means that the swivel front stop can also be folded up or down repeatedly during work, without causing dimensional inaccuracies. The multifunctional stop square gives greater stability when working vertically, allows variable height positioning and instantly aligns 22.5° and 45° angles.
The swivelling base can be set at any point between 0 - 180° (22.5°, 45°, 67.5° and 90°) and used with or without the stop square for angle locations. With this fence mounted on the fixed base and the swivel set at 90°, a very secure platform is established for narrow edge work. Scales on both the angle and height adjustment are in metric. A very clear central marker is embossed into the baseplate. There is a choice of six preset depths for the common biscuit/connector sizes with further fine adjustable if required (No 0, 10 or 20) The body of the machine is slim with a positive ‘D’ handle for the best grip.
Supplied in a cardboard box with a 36mm suction stub, stop square, 4mm spacer, tool set and manual.
