A tail light charging indicator provides clear battery status:

Powerbank Functionality
The Focus 800 doubles as a portable powerbank, capable of charging small electronic devices such as phones or MP3 players (using the device’s own USB charging cable). To activate:
Cycle the tail-cap switch until the green LED is on.
Press the tail-cap switch twice quickly—green flashing indicates powerbank mode is active.
Connect your device via the USB output on the torch.
Ensure the torch is switched off during charging to minimise recharge time.
Disconnect once charging is complete to conserve battery.
Note: Compatible with most USB-charged devices. Some manufacturers use proprietary cables with authentication chips that may not support third-party charging.
