This 18V Makita angle grinder features a brushless motor, delivering greater power and maximising battery runtimes. The Makita DGA517Z has automatic torque drive, which adjusts speed and torque depending on the load. This increased efficiency automatically gives you high speed for lighter cuts and a lower speed with more torque in heavy-duty applications.
Active Feedback Sensing Technology (AFT) prevents kickback by turning the motor off immediately should the wheel jam. A variable speed dial allows you to set the speed between 3,000 and 8,500rpm to suit various applications: cutting, grinding or sanding. XPT (eXtreme Protection Technology) protects the tool in outdoor applications or harsh environments, and gives greater protection against dust and moisture.
A rubberised soft grip minimises vibration and increases comfort and control. The paddle switch is easy to operate, and features anti-restart preventing accidental start-up if the switch is engaged when inserting a battery. The soft start eliminates any sudden jolt on start-up. An electric brake stops the disc very quickly, making this powerful machine safer to use.
The DGA517Z offers you mains performance in a cordless tool. This 125mm angle grinder scores highly for both efficiency and safety.
This is a body only machine, without batteries and charger.
