UJK Spiral Cutters are British made from solid tungsten carbide, engineered to deliver fast, precise and controlled routing with a consistently clean finish. The upcut spiral flute geometry produces a shearing cutting action, resulting in smoother, cleaner cuts compared to standard straight cutters. At the same time, the spiral design efficiently evacuates chips and dust upwards, helping to keep the cutter cooler and reduce heat build-up during use. This improves cutting performance, particularly in deeper cuts, mortising and high material removal tasks, while also reducing strain on the router motor.
The upward cutting action draws the router down towards the workpiece, providing greater control and stability, particularly when used with guides and templates. This makes the cutters ideal for accurate, repeatable routing in both solid timber and sheet materials. Designed to work seamlessly with UJK Loose Tenon Cutters, each size is carefully matched to produce accurate, consistent mortises for strong, reliable joinery.
