These rests feature a hardened steel rod as the tool bearing surface that provides smooth tool transition and will never ding, nick or need filing. Your tools will glide effortlessly across the rod even after years of turning. Your hand fits comfortably in the radius of the rest, whether you use an overhand or underhand grip. You can get the rest close to the action for maximum tool support whether below or above centre height.
