The Sedgwick TA315 Bench Saw is designed and built to fulfil the needs of a modern busy joinery workshop. It is a fine example of British engineering using cast iron and heavy gauge steel fabrication. This is a lot of machine and represents great value.
The quiet, powerful induction motor (3.0kW) drives the 315mm diameter blade. Maximum depth of cut at 90° is 105mm.
The generous 800 x 750mm table is grey cast grey iron, precision finished. It features mitre slots on either side of the blade. The TA315 is supplied with a stout mitre fence. All this cast iron helps absorb and dampen vibration, aiding accuracy and performance.
The rip fence is a heavy duty aluminium extrusion and allows for two working positions. High for thick workpieces or low for thin boards. It is adjustable fore and aft in relation to the saw blade. The extrusion is fixed to a heavy duty cast iron mounting bracket with integral micro-adjustment. The assembly glides across the table top and is supported by a 40mm diameter solid steel bar for rigidity. Rise and fall and tilt mechanisms are square thread screws operated by handwheels at the front and side of the machine. Available in both single and three phase models. A British made legend.
