A carefully developed range of high quality, durable waxes designed to suit a variety of applications and materials.
Axminster Microcrystalline Restoration Wax - our most versatile wax
Microcrystalline waxes will not only preserve, protect and enhance your woodwork, they can also be used for delicate artefacts due to their pH neutral and acid-free qualities. This versatile wax helps protect against fingerprints and is perfect for objects that are handled frequently. The wax stays clear and forms a hard layer when applied that, once buffed, gives a gentle sheen and repels moisture on furniture. Its properties also help prevent oxidation of metal surfaces.
Axminster Machine Wax - less friction, greater control
Our Axminster Machine Wax’s unique anti-friction formulation gives you greater control and enables you to push your workpiece through the machine with ease. The wax also helps to protect your machine against corrosion at the same time! This silicone free formula wax is also suitable for lubricating saw blades and cutting tools, and can be used on handsaw blades and soles of hand planes. It’s no wonder that this wax is a firm favourite among Axminster Tools’ customers.
Axminster Tool Protection Wax - protect tools and enhance performance
Axminster Tool Protection Wax forms a protective barrier on the bare metal surface of planes, chisels, saws, preventing oxidation. Its silicone free formula means you get a top finish, and similarly to the machine wax, it will also enhance your tool’s performance by reducing friction between the tool and the workpiece.
Axminster Paste Wood Wax - a paste for every project
Axminster Paste Wax is available in clear and a range of timber shades and is suitable for use on bare, sealed, dyed or previously polished wood. Use on bare wood and enhance natural wood grains or use the timber shades to adjust the finished colour of previously dyed wood.
Machine Wax greatly reduces friction between timber and the surface of machine tables or hand tools. This makes processing much smoother and results in an increase in the quality of the machined surface.
Machine wax is silicone free, apply sparingly to the machine tables and buff with a soft cloth. Its use is of particular benefit on aluminium alloy and cast iron. Used regularly, it also helps prevent corrosion. By lessening friction between the workpiece and machine surfaces, you gain greater control. Always remember to disconnect machinery before applying wax.
