If you have ever wanted to take up woodturning this lathe will meet all your needs and give you hours of turning enjoyment in your workshop. It is well suited to anyone with a limited budget or only enough space enough for a small lathe.
The AW240WL woodturning lathe features five spindle speeds, giving a useful range between 760 and 3,200rpm. It has a maximum bowl turning capacity of 240mm diameter and a spindle turning capacity of 440mm between centres.
The headstock, bed and tailstock are constructed of heavy cast iron, minimising vibration. The 375W induction motor has more than enough power for the lathe’s capacities and any projects that are likely to be undertaken. Both the headstock spindle and tailstock barrel take 2MT accessories, with the spindle nose having a 1" x 8tpi thread. The tailstock also has a hollow barrel to enable long hole boring.
Supplied with Axminster drive and revolving tailstock centres, 75mm diameter faceplate and 150mm tool rest.
N.B. The distance between centres will vary slightly dependent on the type of centres or accessories used.
