The Button Fix Type 1 Metal is for use on outdoor, demanding applications where quality and durability is necessary. These fixings consist of two parts: the clip is attached to the back of one panel, whilst the button is attached to the other. This allows for the panels to simply slide together until the fixing clicks. The Button Fix Type 1 Metal fixing is perfect for use on panel-to-panel fixings, especially on fire-retardant panels, maritime and transport interiors, applications that are susceptible to vibration or shock, and more. The fixings have undergone intense strength, shock loading and vibration tests to ensure that they are extremely reliable and long-lasting. Both parts have been diecast in ZL2 zinc alloy and have a 316 stainless steel spring to ensure they are made to last.

Being extremely versatile, they can be used in many ways to best suit your application and can be placed either vertically or sideways. They can be surface mounted, creating an 8mm gap between panels, or they can be semi-rebated which reduces the gap to just 3mm. Use the router jig for precise machining of the rebate. Four fasteners can support up to 350kg, provided the screws and substrate are correctly matched and instructions have been followed accurately.

The Button Fix Type 1 Metal clip is 30mm wide, 62mm tall and 8mm thick, fixed using 2 x 5.0mm pan head screws. The button is 18mm wide and 8.1mm thick and requires a single 5mm countersunk screw.

Supplied in a pack of 50.
