In the latest episode of Out of the Woodwork Podcast, Sean Evelegh sits down to talk to furniture making legend John Makepeace.

John has enjoyed an illustrious career in furniture craft and design, with his passion born from a visit to the fine furniture makers of Copenhagen as an 11-year-old boy.

More about John Makepeace

His work has taken him around the world, working with numerous notable clients as a design consultant and producing a wealth of high-end commissions.

Not only that, John set up and ran his own furniture design college at Parnham House for 25 years, now amalgamated with the Architectural Association.

And there’s no stopping John any time soon, as he continues to practise and take commissions from his historic home in Dorset, which he shares with his wife Jennie.
