Lelia is passionate about the exploration of materials and what they can teach us. As well as an artist, Leila enjoys a successful and varied career as a set builder for television and film and can currently be seen on Channel 4’s Handmade: Britain’s Best Woodworker as supporting technician for contestants.

Named as one of BBC’s 100 Most Inspirational Women, Leila has always been creative and loved making things. She is often described as a metalworker, however, Leila is passionate about the exploration of all materials and understanding what the material can teach us.

Aside from art and sculpture work, Leila enjoys a successful career as a freelance set build builder and prop maker. Her most recent work has been on Channel 4’s Handmade: Britain’s Best Woodworker, where she can be seen helping contestants with their big builds as a workshop technician.
