Makers Central is back for 2024! A fun family event for global makers and creators to come together and celebrate a shared passion for creativity. For those who couldn’t attend last year’s show or if you simply want to relive the memories, here’s a recap of the 2023 highlights from one of the UK’s most beloved creative events.
Meet our makers
We are thrilled to be back at Makers Central. This year we're bringing a whole host of guests, who you're bound to recognise. Come and say hello and meet the team on stand B32.
Sean Evelegh
YouTuber, award winning furniture designer and fine woodworker, Sean has bags of enthusiasm and even more talent. He has toured the country giving woodworking masterclasses and now it's your chance to meet him in person and see him in action.
Radha Sivyer
Radha is a fine furniture maker and teacher who specialises in Japanese joinery. His commitment to his craft and vibrant personality have led to huge success as a content creator. He will be demonstrating the mighty Arbortech power carvers tools, which he fell in love with during his time on the first series of Britain's Best Woodworker.
Helen Bailey
Known for the intricate beauty of her work, Helen's woodturning creations receive worldwide attention. Her delicate style and award-winning pierced wood forms mean her work is sought after by individuals and collectors from across the globe. Shavings will be flying as Helen demonstrates her skills on the lathe.
Simon Clements
Simon is a well-known carver and sculptor who specialises in historical woodcarving and will be showcasing some of his go-to carving tools from Flexcut. He has worked on many conservation and heritage projects with completed commissions for The Woodland Trust & Harwell Campus Science Park.
