The next generation of Resin

A natural bio-based epoxy ideal for the conscientious woodturner, woodworker, crafter and artisan.

High performing

Crystal clear, self-levelling and extremely durable. This system features quick air-release and world-class UV resistance. Professionals all over the world use this innovative epoxy to create, build and beautify the world around them.

Natural innovation

Bio-based, non-toxic epoxy which is an environmentally friendly alternative to other epoxy resins on the market. Being non-toxic it is also safer to use.

Ideal for woodworkers

Water-clear and UV-stabilised for applications that require a low-colour and low-yellowing, such as when you want to preserve the natural colouring of wood. CLR works with a choice of hardeners to match your woodworking methods.

Versatile creations

Low colour and low viscosity allow for bubble-free, crystal-clear castings. It’s ideal for art and hobby applications such as jewellery, river tables, and other casting or embedding projects that call for clear casting, clear coating, adding depth, showcasing vibrant colours, or creating sheen.

Environmentally friendlier

Even biobased epoxy impacts the environment, but Entropy Resins are formulated for reduced environmental impact throughout their life cycle. Certified by the USDA (US Department of Agriculture BioPreferred program). Entropy Resins also participates in the ‘1% for the Planet’ fund throughout the United States and Europe.

More sustainable

With 30% bio-based content this formula is manufactured with renewable resources to the highest extent possible. By using green chemistry techniques less energy is required during production, which minimises harmful by-products and reduces greenhouse gas emissions.

Choice of hardeners (sold separately)

CLR works with a choice of hardeners to match your woodworking methods. It has an ideal viscosity for a wide range of applications that use hand layup techniques with fast, room-temperature cures.

Entropy is shaping the next generation of epoxy with their bio-based clear casting resins. Created and manufactured in-house, by a family-run team, Entropy Resins are high-performing, environmentally friendlier and more sustainable. These epoxies are excellent for clear coating and clear casting in all types of woodworking projects.

The water clear, UV-stabilised resin is easy to work and perfect for applications that require a crystal clear, colourless, low-yellowing finish. Making it perfect for coating high-colour work and for see-through encapsulations. If preferred it can be coloured with resin pigments.

Entropy features a lower viscosity, allowing more air bubbles to escape and dissipate during curing. The lower viscosity allows it to soak deeper into the wood for a stronger bond. It is perfect for pouring river tables, ocean tables and any other deep pour applications or casting in silicone moulds. You can pour it up to a depth of 25mm, depending on volume.

ENTROPY CLR works with both slow and fast hardeners (purchased separately) in order to match your working parameters. The Fast Cure has a 90 min setting time and 24 hr tack-free time*. The Slow Cure has a 360 min setting time with a 72 hr tack-free time*. The quick air-release and world-class UV resistance formula makes this resin suitable for a huge array of crafts, from jewellery making and wood turned projects to giant wood slab tables.

With 30% Bio-based content this formula is manufactured with renewable resources to the highest extent possible. By using green chemistry techniques less energy is required during production, which minimises harmful by-products and reduces greenhouse gas emissions. USDA Bio-Preferred Certified.

Axminster recommends a minimum of FFP2 respirator and eye protection when sanding or cutting resin.

*setting and tack-free time can vary depending on volume and room temp. These tests were conducted at 95ºF/35ºC.
