Entropy is shaping the next generation of epoxy with their bio-based clear casting resins. Created and manufactured in-house, by a family-run team, Entropy Resins are high-performing, environmentally friendlier and more sustainable. These epoxies are excellent for clear coating and clear casting in all types of woodworking projects.
The water clear, UV-stabilised resin is easy to work and perfect for applications that require a crystal clear, colourless, low-yellowing finish. Making it perfect for coating high-colour work and for see-through encapsulations. If preferred it can be coloured with resin pigments.
Entropy features a lower viscosity, allowing more air bubbles to escape and dissipate during curing. The lower viscosity allows it to soak deeper into the wood for a stronger bond. It is perfect for pouring river tables, ocean tables and any other deep pour applications or casting in silicone moulds. You can pour it up to a depth of 25mm, depending on volume.
ENTROPY CLR works with both slow and fast hardeners (purchased separately) in order to match your working parameters. The Fast Cure has a 90 min setting time and 24 hr tack-free time*. The Slow Cure has a 360 min setting time with a 72 hr tack-free time*. The quick air-release and world-class UV resistance formula makes this resin suitable for a huge array of crafts, from jewellery making and wood turned projects to giant wood slab tables.
With 30% Bio-based content this formula is manufactured with renewable resources to the highest extent possible. By using green chemistry techniques less energy is required during production, which minimises harmful by-products and reduces greenhouse gas emissions. USDA Bio-Preferred Certified.
Axminster recommends a minimum of FFP2 respirator and eye protection when sanding or cutting resin.
*setting and tack-free time can vary depending on volume and room temp. These tests were conducted at 95ºF/35ºC.
