A table saw, perfect for the home workshop. The AW216TS saw features a quiet running 1,100W induction motor. The saw has a generous ground surface cast iron table with twin 19mm mitre fence grooves. It comes with a 216mm Axcaliber Premium 48 Tooth noise reducing blade, giving 65mm max depth of cut.
The whole motor and saw arbor assembly is mounted on trunnions bolted onto the chassis, leaving the table completely unstressed. This design means that the blade tilt and height mechanism is exceptionally smooth. The table includes a pressed steel side extension and rear support table. The full length rip fence includes a 400mm sliding sub fence with high/low functions. Dust extraction is highly efficient from both above and below the blade. The single 100mm dust port is easily connected to a suitable extractor. The NVR switch has a separate locking Emergency Stop function for safety. Removable side panels allow easy cleaning and maintenance.
Sliding Table Kit
Fitted to the left hand side of the machine, the sliding table kit offers 1,000mm of travel and has a decent 320 x 420 mm sized table. A mitre fence with a long arm is included, as is a work hold down clamp. Straight forward to fit, it is adjustable to be in perfect alignment with the blade and table. A very worthwhile addition, making your work more accurate and safer to carry out.
Cabinet Stand
Made from welded steel plate, the cabinet is styled to match the table saw, presenting an integrated look together with the saw.
It does have its practicalities though, with a side door giving access to a large cupboard. The top panel prevents dust from entering, whilst there is a floor panel as well. You utilise the rubber feet from the saw underneath, preventing movement when using the saw. This cabinet gives the saw a table height of 900mm. Saving bench space in a small workshop, maybe using a mobile base to give added ease of use, this stand is very nicely made and a useful addition. Assembled size 430mm wide, 590mm deep, 570mm tall.
