The Easy Wood Tools Mid‑Size Easy Hollower™ #2 is a carbide woodturning tool designed for the mid‑stage shaping of hollow forms and the interior of medium to large bowls.
As the second tool in the Hollowing 1‑2‑3 system, Hollower #2 reaches deeper into the form and begins refining the interior shape after the bulk waste has been removed by Hollower #1.

Featuring a solid carbide cutter and a 12.7mm square section shaft, the Mid‑Size Easy Hollower™ #2 sits flat and steady on the tool rest, offering excellent stability and easy control with no sharpening required.
The longer 355mm American Maple handle provides secure leverage for deeper cuts, while the tool’s geometry allows smooth shaping inside areas that are no longer directly visible.

Hollower #2 is engineered for controlled interior shaping, improving transitions, smoothing surfaces, and following the developing contour of the form.
When held parallel to the floor at centre height, the square shaft keeps the tool stable on the rest, helping to minimise catches and snatches as you hollow deeper inside the vessel.
It provides a balanced combination of reach, control, and refinement before moving on to Hollower #3 for final finishing.

With no sharpening required, simply loosen the fixing screw and rotate the cutter to expose a fresh edge when dull.
