Easy Wood Tools were the first company to develop replaceable carbide-tipped turning tools for professional woodturners and hobbyists back in 2008. The company makes the tools in their headquarters in Kentucky and the carbide tips in their own manufacturing plant in Illinois. This gives them complete control over development and quality of their products.
What makes them 'Easy'?

This unique design ensures the tool sits flat and steady on the tool rest, making it safer and easier to use. No need to learn specific bevels or cutting angles to make your cuts, simply hold the tool and move it left or right to rough out, smooth or create coves or beads.
No need to sharpen
Each tool features a carbide cutter which keeps an edge at least ten times longer than HSS (High Speed Steel). When an edge eventually becomes dull, simply slacken the fixing screw, turn to a fresh edge and go again.

Easy Wood Tools offer a range of different size tools to ensure you have a tool perfect for your project. Within each range the tools have different coloured handles for quick and easy recognition.
Use these tools to turn dry or green wood; they equally work well on very hard woods, acrylics and resins. The negative rake tips work particularly well on acrylics, polyester and resins, and produce a smooth finish on timber.

Easy Wood Tools Easy Hollowers are designed to make turning hollow forms easier and safer and confidently. This set of all three will give you access from just-under-the-rim to deep unseen cavities. Hollowing is as Easy as 1 - 2 - 3.
The Mid-size Easy Hollower #1 is used to remove the bulk of the material from the middle of the hollow form or from the centre of medium to large bowls. It has a 12.7mm square section shaft providing stability when sitting on your lathe’s tool rest.
The #2 Mid-size Easy Hollower has a gently curved shaft allowing you to begin hollowing to the side and start undercutting.
The Mid-size #3 Easy Hollower has a pronounced curve, which allows you greater access when undercutting deep inside the hollow form. Both the #2 and #3 Hollowers have 9.5mm deep by 19mm wide rectangular section shafts providing excellent stability and giving a chatter-free reach of 100mm.
Easy Wood Tools’ replaceable carbide cutting tips keep an edge many, many times longer than HSS. When the edge eventually dulls; simply slacken the fixing screw and turn to a fresh edge.
The 355mm long handles are straight grained American Maple, with copper ferrules for strength. Their overall length is 572mm.
All Easy Wood Tools are 100% made in the USA.
Negative rake tips are available, which work particularly well on acrylics, polyester and resins, as well as producing a fine, smooth finish on timber.
