Yorkshire Grit is an abrasive paste used by woodturners across the world. Available in both Original (for wood) and Microfine (for resins/hybrids/wood) it’s known for its effectiveness in enhancing the surface of wood and achieving a smooth, polished finish.

Yorkshire grit is an abrasive paste made to give a fine keyed surface to your woodturning projects, before adding a final finish. The products contain a hand-blended mix of mineral oil, beeswax and abrasive powders that are carefully processed together without the use of solvents or other strong smelling and potentially harmful chemicals. The result is a creamy paste that acts like “liquid sandpaper” which reduces scratches left behind by lower grit dry sanding, and eliminating fine dust produced by higher grit sanding.

Available in different versions or grit sizes to suit various wood types and project requirements. "Yorkshire Grit Microfine" is an option for an even finer finish.
