This useful additional base and slide for your Tru-Grind sharpening system enables you to use your jig at both ends of your bench grinder. This can be especially useful if you have different grades of stone at each end of your grinder. It would also be possible to leave each end set up for different types of turning tools.

The Base Slide features an anodised aluminium extrusion case to convert the machined base slide, designed to help keep you focused on what matters by minimising the impact of metal dust whilst also ensuring ease of movement. The Base Slide is simple and fast to set up, allowing you to accurately sharpen and quickly return to your project. A measurement scale and reference marker helps you accurately establish the position of the Base Slide and simply repeat setup. Use on either sides of the grinder for both left and right hand use; simply manoeuvre the cam lock to move from one side to the other. The Base Slide also features two pivot points for the Woodcut Toolholder, one at the rear which can be used for your Scraper tools and T-bar dresser and one at the front can be used for the majority of your tools.
