This simple tool works really well on end grain work, but it can be used for spindle work too. Primarily designed for use with the Decorating Elf texturing tool, it is an excellent tool in its own right. It produces coves quickly and cleanly and defines the areas to place the ball cutter into for some excellent effects. Sharpening of the tool is accomplished very easily using a diamond file or any other fine flat sharpening medium. For best results sharpen to a polished finish as you would a carving tool.
