This bed extension kit is a worthwhile addition to the AW386WL craft lathe. It practically doubles the between centres capacity of your lathe from 610mm to 1,200mm. It bolts onto the end of lathe’s bed extending the spindle turning capacity by 590mm.
With your lathe mounted on the purpose-made leg stand the extension increases the bowl turning capacity.
The extension bolts onto the leg stand in a lower position, and is supplied with a tool rest extension post. This offers you the potential of turning a bowl or platter up to 520mm in diameter.
