Ingenious woodturning tools
Tough, durable and razor sharp, the Crown Carbide Turning Tool range is a cut above the rest. Start turning straight out the box with Crown’s carbide tipped woodturning tools. The Crown Carbide range features solid tungsten carbide cutters, which are long lasting, tough and razor sharp.
The ultimate edge
The toughed cutting tips make the Crown Carbide Pro turning range highly efficient when turning wood, acrylic, polyester and resin. And with no need to sharpen, you can turn straight out of the box! When the carbide tips start to lose their edge, a simple sharpen will bring them back to life, or replace the tips when needed.
Controlled cutting
Each tool features a 20mm x 13mm shaft, made from super tough chrome vanadium steel, which helps smooth out vibration. The weight keeps the tool on the tool's rest and, combined with a 355mm long handle, ensures effortless control. The tools work best when flat and level, cutting at centre height or, with the handle slightly raised, cutting just below centre. The sides of the bar have a gentle radius allowing controlled shear cuts.

The Hollowing Tip Turning Tool has a 15mm diameter circular cutting tip, and is perfect for cutting coves in spindle work.
Carbide Roughing Tip
The Roughing Tip tool features a 15mm square cutting tip, and is great for removing material quickly. It is also capable of delicate refining cuts, flat or at a shear angle.
Carbide Detail Tip
The Detail Tip Turning Tool has a diamond shaped cutter, with 15mm long edges. The acute angle point is perfect for fine detailing, deep vee cuts, and the side edges are good for refining convex curves.

This is a replacement tip for a circular cutter for the Crown Carbide Pro Roughing Tip Turning Tool. It is a 15mm square cutter with very slightly radiused cutting edges. Manufactured from the finest quality tungsten carbide in the USA; the tips are made from the finest Nano Particle Carbide that is hardened to an unbelievable 93 HRC. This makes them ultra long lasting and, when the edge eventually dulls, all you need do is turn the cutter to a fresh sharp cutting edge.
