The Easy Wood Tools Mini Easy Hollowerâ„¢ #1 is a carbide woodturning tool designed for removing the bulk of material from the interior of small hollow forms and bowls.
As the first stage in the Mini hollowing system, it is ideal for opening up the centre of small vessels, boxes, and light hollow forms, where control and visibility are key.
Fitted with a replaceable carbide cutter and a rigid hollowing shaft, the Mini Easy Hollowerâ„¢ #1 offers excellent stability when working inside smaller forms.
Its compact yet more substantial size than Micro tools provides a reassuring balance between control and capability, while the flat tool support ensures it sits securely on the rest.
With no sharpening required, it simplifies hollowing for both beginners and more experienced turners.
The Mini Easy Hollowerâ„¢ #1 is designed for efficient, controlled bulk removal inside smaller workpieces, allowing you to quickly establish the internal cavity.
Its shaft design provides the stiffness needed to reduce chatter while working inside the form, and when used parallel to the floor at centre height, the tool remains stable on the rest. This helps to minimise catches and maintain predictable cutting action as you begin the hollowing process before moving on to #2 and #3 for refinement.
Easy Wood Tools’ long‑lasting carbide cutters hold an edge many times longer than HSS and are suitable for dry or green wood, as well as acrylics. With no sharpening needed, maintenance is simple — when the edge dulls, just loosen the fixing screw and rotate or replace the cutter.
The shaft is engraved with the corresponding carbide cutter reference number for easy identification.
All Easy Wood Tools are 100% made in the USA.
