The Dremel 290 works with a reciprocating (back-and-forth) action. The action allows you to engrave a wide variety of materials, such as glass, ceramics, metal, plastics, wood and leather. Use the Dremel 290 to produce decorative designs or add security identification to valuable objects. The 290 kit includes: two carbide engraving points for general use, a diamond engraving tip for glass and stone and a selection of engraving templates, including a letter and number templates. .
The unit’s ergonomic soft grip and lightweight offer easy control when engraving fine lines or delicate shading. The Dremel 290 produces 6,000 strokes per minute. The stroke adjustment dial regulates engraving depth from fine lines to deep grooves. A separate on/off switch lets you keep your chosen depth setting. Instruction manual included.
