The Axminster Professional AP50UE Ultimate Edge offers a controlled, repeatable and effective method for sharpening, linishing or polishing on all your edge tools. No one takes up sharpening as a hobby, but it is a necessity in order to get the best out of an edge tool. With this Ultimate Edge Package, you will be ready for a huge variety of sharpening and polishing tasks, so you won't be caught unprepared.

The Ultimate Edge is a variable speed sharpening system which allows you to run the machine in both forward and reverse. By running the belt in reverse (away from the tool), we believe it gives you greater control, generating less heat and, ultimately, giving you a better edge.

The AP50UE Ultimate Edge is fantastic at bringing old tools back to life. If you have some of your granddad’s old tools in a box at the back of the shed, the Ultimate Edge can combine fast rust removal with effortless polishing and incredible sharpening and honing capabilities. It is worth remembering, many of these old tools were made from the best steels available.

The possibilities of the Ultimate Edge are endless. The machine has a 560W DC brush motor, which has high torque and is quiet running. The variable speed allows you to match the speed to the type of abrasive and the tool. Dust extraction ports top and bottom allow effective extraction whether running forward or reverse. The belts can be easily changed with a quick release door lock, an auto-tension lock, and easy-to-adjust belt tracking. The belt platen is fully adjustable to the belt; an optional graphite slip plate is provided. There is a simple table provided as standard. The base is 5mm plate steel and is provided with adjustable feet for bench mounting.
