The overall construction is very solid to enable it to cope with the high demand of industrial usage.

The RFT 630 thicknesser is very easy to operate. At its maximum it can take 630mm wide x 300mm thick and remove up to 8mm with each pass. The precision ground cast iron table sits on four support pillars and features adjustable rollers for smooth throughput. Feed speed is easily adjustable from five to twenty metres a minute.

This ready to buy package includes a spiral cutter block, which offers numerous advantages; notably quieter in use, the sheer cutting action of the spiral block also produces a super smooth finish with no visible lines across the board. The spiral block features 56 15mm solid tungsten cutters in a helical pattern. Lasting ten times longer than HSS, when the edge of the square tungsten cutter dulls, it can be rotated to a fresh and sharp edge, removing the need for complicated knife changes. By producing smaller chips, strain on the machine is reduced and extraction is more efficient.
