Brighten up your home with our decorative branch wreath project for guaranteed smiles!
Select some branch material of differing thickness and cut rounds. To do this, we used a bench hook and a tenon saw. You will need approximately 25-30 rounds depending on the size of your wreath.
Using an abrasive, sand on both faces of the wooden rounds.
Arrange your rounds around a side plate to keep the circle even. You may have to swap the sizes a little to make each of the rounds sit snug against each other.
Now for the next layer. Generously apply PVA glue to the back of the rounds that will form the top layer. Stick down and bridge two of the loose bottom rounds. In our example, we used the Osmo glue because of the strong initial tack. Repeat until all the rounds are stuck together to form the top layer of your wreath.
Allow the correct curing time for the glue you have used. This is to ensure the project is stable enough to decorate. Here you have the opportunity to decorate however you like. Based on personal preferences and available resources, we used some festive ribbon, pine cones, berries and holly to decorate ours.
