The Trend T8EK Router (1/2") is a high performance plunge router for trade and professional woodworkers. Methodically designed and engineered, the T8EK is fully compatible with router tables and comes with many advanced safety features.

The 2,200W motor delivers consistently high power, torque and speed, and features soft-start to prevent kick-back. The 80mm plunge depth opens up many opportunities for deep -cutting applications and the 11-stage variable speed control from 10,000 to 26,000rpm, allows you to match the cutter diameter to the material for perfect results. Phosphor-bronze bushes, ensure a smooth plunge action. The auto-lock plunge lever allows you to easily and safely operate the plunge without releasing the handles. The ergonomic designed handles support a natural wrist position, reduce strain, and increase control.

A micro adjustable side fence comes as standard, along with a spindle lock, which simplifies cutter changes. This improves the accuracy rebating, grooving and moulding. Twin LEDs illuminate the area around the cutter improving safety and accuracy in low-light situations, or the use of a jig is casting shadows. With it's seven-position rotating turret with pre-set plunge limits, you can achieve fast, repeatable batch and stepped cutting.

Router table compatible with height adjuster to easily and safely change cutting height from above the table. An NVR switch (not supplied) can be fitted, providing an independent switching arrangement. The router table safety clip mechanically pulls the trigger inwards to keep the power on, allowing for the safe use of a standard NVR.

The T8EK base configuration includes a standardised fixing pattern of holes that allows the T8EK to be attached to a range of compatible, jigs and accessories. A precision centring system uses a unique guide bush centring pin and adaptor plate to ensure perfect concentricity between cutter and guide bush for pinpoint accuracy with routing jigs.

The vertical extraction spout features an enhanced dust adapter, which efficiently clears the waste. Its positioning prevents extraction hoses from snagging on jigs or materials.
