The mechanical design of this CNC ready lathe is almost identical to the proven PROXXON precision lathe PD 400, It is robust, dependable, and powerful enough for anything you might want to turn. The PD 400 CNC-ready lathe is a precise lathe that meets high demands for operability and reliability. Electronic control of the feeds of the two tool axes with a computer comprehensively extends the possibilities of a manually controlled lathe.
The handwheels of the standard PD 400 are replaced by electric stepper motors, which drive the tool slides by means of high-precision recirculating ball screws (no backlash). The stepper motors are controlled by the selected CNC control, which is "operated" and monitored by the control computer.
Supplied with: 3-jaw precision chuck (Ø 100 mm), Live tailstock centre, 10mm drill chuck, Tool post with 2 tool holders and Chuck guard.
N.B. CNC controller (SKU 109491) is not included and needs to be purchased separately
