Shaper Trace is an innovative toolkit that gives you the capability to turn your own hand drawn sketches and drawings into cut-ready vector graphics. These scalable vector graphics (SVGs) are ready to use with the tool of your choice; namely a Shaper Origin CNC router, they are also compatible for use with laser cutters, vinyl cutters and other CNC machines.
The kit includes a Trace Frame, a specialist artist pen, and access to the Trace Application. The Trace Application can be used on IOS and Android devices, and requires a rear-facing camera - your phone becomes a high quality scanner. After finishing your drawing, simply place the Trace Frame over your sketch and use the Trace App to convert it into an SVG. Trace removes distortion, preserves scale, and finds the centerline of your sketch. Shaper Trace works well with any dark pen and light paper.
