The Tormek T-8 Custom puts you in control of your sharpening system. You only select what you want.
Choose your grinding wheel:
Diamond wheels offer huge benefits to other grinding wheels. They have exceptional durability and the ability to sharpen on the flat side as well as the periphery. Used together with the MB-100 multi-base you can sharpen on the side of the wheel to produce a completely flat bevel. These wheels will never require dressing and will always retain their original diameter.
DC-250 Diamond Wheel Coarse
The fastest cutting diamond wheel. The coarse 360 grit rapidly repairs a dull or damaged edge.
DF-250 Diamond Wheel Fine
Provides a fine surface finish on all types of edge tools. This 600 grit wheel combines efficient steel removal with smooth surface finish.
DE-250 Diamond Wheel Extra Fine
The 1,200 grit wheel leaves an extra-fine finish and is especially suitable for sharpening carving tools and knives when the steel removal is minimal.
SG-250 Supergrind Wheel
This has to be the best all-round Tormek stone. The 220 grit wheel is designed for sharpening all types of edge tools. Developed to combine efficient steel removal, smooth surface finish, and long life. This wheel is always recommended for beginners, as you get a flexible stone with two cutting features.
SB-250 Blackstone Silicone Stone
This harder stone has been developed for shaping and sharpening HSS and other exotic alloyed steels. Delivers fast steel removal.
SJ-250 Japanese Waterstone
This stone offers the finest finish on knives and hand tools. It provides an excellent surface finish where a minimum of steel removal is needed. At 4,000 grit it is ideal for carving tools, scissors, knives and well-maintained plane irons and bench tools.
Choose your honing wheel:
LA-220 Leather Honing Wheel
This leather tyred honing wheel gently removes the burr which develops during grinding. When used with a dab of Tormek Honing Compound PA-70, it brings the edge to a mirror finish and razor sharpness.
CW-220 Composite Honing Wheel
The clean way to remove a burr and put a final polish on your bevels and knife edges. The composite has polish amalgamated with its compound so there is no need to use any additional honing compounds or pastes.
LA-120 Profiled Leather Honing Wheel
For the honing and polishing of the inside of turning gouges, woodcarving gouges and V-parting tools, Tormek have developed a profiled leather honing wheel, made of solid tanned leather.
