Intelligent sensor & cartridge
A responsive sensor registers contact with human skin which activates a capacitive cartridge - and everything stops. Within just five milliseconds, the saw blade brakes and users are left with just a scratch rather than a serious injury, meaning sawing has never been safer!
Flexible and precise cutting
Thanks to the fine adjuster and locking position, achieve precise cuts every time. What’s more, change quickly from rip to cross cuts with the angle stop and enjoy flexible cutting up to 80mm for larger cross cuts.
Advanced electronics
The tool garage provides much needed, space-saving storage of blades, cartridges and push sticks directly on the saw meaning everything is close by.

Splinter-free working

Bypass mode
It is possible to deactivate the SawStop technology if necessary, e.g. if you need to work with conductive materials.
This professional table saw features big capacity, high accuracy, great performance and good mobility. The TKS 80 is the FIRST Festool table saw fitted with the innovative SawStop. Should your finger come into contact with the blade, SawStop drops the blade in less than 5 milliseconds preventing injury.
The 254mm blade gives a maximum cutting height of 80mm. The riving knife has a scale for checking the blade’s height at a glance. This table saw has a 2.2kW motor with integral MMC digital electronics for a smooth start-up and constant speed. For bevel cutting the blade tilts between -2° and +47°.
The mitre fence has indents at common angles for quick setting, and doubles-up as a rip fence when used on the right-hand side of the blade. A patented splinter guard helps produce splinter-free cuts on both sides. Dust extraction is from both above and below the blade for a healthy and clean working environment. Cleantec bayonet fittings keep the hose in position. Integrated wheels allow you to move the TKS 80 around easily.
When it comes to transporting or storing the TKS 80, the legs fold and on-board storage for blades, tools, angle/rip fence and push sticks means nothing gets lost in transit.

SawStop
To be blunt, fingers don’t grow back. No matter how safety conscious you are; there is always the possibility of a moment’s distraction causing an accident. On a busy site or in a busy workshop there are plenty of distractions. The SawStop flesh sensor stops the blade as soon as it comes into contact with your skin. It stops and drops the blade below the table within 5-milliseconds before an injury has had time to occur. The blink of an eye takes 1/10 of a second or 100-milliseconds.
The intelligent cartridge releases a pretensioned spring and pushes an aluminium block into the blade to stop it immediately (replacement cartridges can be fitted in just a few steps).
SawStop technology detects the moisture in your skin, so it only works when you're sawing non-conductive materials. Bypass mode, allows you to deactivate the SawStop technology if necessary, e.g. to work with conductive materials.
