The Easy Wood Tools Mini Easy Hollower™ #2 is a carbide woodturning tool designed for refining the internal shape of small hollow forms after the bulk material has been removed.
As the second stage in the Mini hollowing system, it is ideal for shaping the interior of small vessels, boxes, and compact bowls, preparing the form for final refinement.
Fitted with a replaceable carbide cutter and a rigid hollowing shaft, the Mini Easy Hollower™ #2 offers excellent control when working inside partially hollowed forms.
Its compact size with added substance over Micro tools provides a confident feel in the hand, while the stable tool profile sits securely on the rest.
With no sharpening required, it allows turners to focus on shaping rather than tool maintenance.
The Mini Easy Hollower™ #2 is designed for controlled interior shaping, following the profile created by Hollower #1 and refining the developing form.
Its shaft provides the stiffness needed to minimise chatter as you work deeper into the piece, and when used parallel to the floor at centre height, it maintains steady contact with the tool rest. This helps deliver smooth, predictable cuts even in areas where visibility becomes more limited, setting up the final refinement stage with Hollower #3.
Easy Wood Tools’ long‑lasting carbide cutters hold an edge many times longer than HSS and are suitable for dry or green wood, as well as acrylics. With no sharpening needed, maintenance is simple — when the edge dulls, just loosen the fixing screw and rotate or replace the cutter.
The shaft is engraved with the corresponding carbide cutter reference number for easy identification.
All Easy Wood Tools are 100% made in the USA.
