This lightweight, JSP Powercap Powered Respirator provides reliable protection in a single, integrated unit. Equipped with an impact-resistant visor, it delivers positive-pressure airflow that avoids the limitations of standard negative-pressure face masks. The motor supplies a steady flow of filtered air across your face at 160 L/min, ensuring consistent comfort. As you no longer need to draw air through a filter, breathing feels natural and effortless, reducing fatigue during extended use.
The air exiting around the sides and bottom of the mask is at slightly higher pressure than that outside, so forms a very effective seal. Beards are not a problem. If you wear glasses, these will not fog or mist up as you breathe out.
With the motor and filters positioned at the peak of the bump cap and the battery at the rear, the JSP Powercap Powered Respirator offers excellent balance. The outer cover of the bump cap is removable for easy washing, and its low overall weight of just 680 g ensures exceptional comfort during extended wear. The bump cap gives head protection to EN812.
The Li-Ion battery has a charge indicator so you can check your battery status, a fully charged battery can give you a run time of 8 hours. The filters are easy to inspect and replace. The unit provides respiratory protection to EN12941:1998 + A2:2008 TH1P. The clear visor gives you a wide field of vision along with impact protection to EN.166.B.1.
Supplied with an 8-hour battery, two filters, a flow-rate meter, micro USB charge lead, and complete instructions all within a strong storage box. A mains plug for the lead is not supplied. To extend the life of your respirator, we recommend the JSP Powercap Respirator Pre-Filter Pad (Pkt 10) (101850) and the JSP Powercap Respirator Peel Off Visor Overlay (Pkt 10) (101844).
Respiratory protective equipment (RPE) should not be used as the only means of control as it should complement other control measures such as a dust extraction system. Each RPE type and class is categorised by an assigned protection factor (APF). The APF is a number rating that indicates how much protection that RPE is capable of providing. For example, RPE with an APF of 10 will reduce the wearer’s exposure by at least a factor of 10 if used properly, or, to put it another way, the wearer will only breathe in one-tenth or less of the amount of substance present in the air.
